A mum who lost all her income as a self-employed hairdresser in lockdown is set to become a millionaire after selling racy images and videos online. Gracey Kay, from Leeds, she signed up to OnlyFans – a website where content creators provide exclusive material to their subscribers, or “fans” – in the hope of earning some extra cash. Within weeks the 33-year-old's page proved so popular Gracey made more than twice her annual £18,000 hairdresser income in one month. She has since become one of OnlyFans’ top earners and has moved with her family to Alicante, Spain, where she plans to invest her earnings into a portfolio of properties. Speaking to Leeds Live, Gracey, who is speaking under her OnlyFans name, said: “I do have to pinch myself sometimes. I can’t believe this is my life. Some days I will just sit on the beach all day and work from my phone.
The 32-year-old has earned $800,00 (£578,156) so far.

“So far I’ve made $800,00 (£578,156) and by next month I reckon I’ll hit £1million. “It’s an unreal amount of money. I think my account became so popular because I started it in lockdown and everyone was online. You can’t do much else at the moment. “I also invested some of the money I made back into promoting my page, so that helped it to grow too.” She continued: “Before, I would never have spent more than £50 on a pair of shoes or a handbag. And now I can afford designer things. “But to be honest, I don’t buy myself stuff. I want to use the money for my family and spend it on them once lockdown lifts.” Gracey found herself unable to work when the UK was plunged into lockdown in March last year. She found herself with no cash and the bills were mounting up so she turned to OnlyFans after a friend suggested it to her. “I was panicking,” she said.
“I had all these bills to pay and no income. It was stressful. “I’d never heard of OnlyFans before, but my friend said she’d been making extra income by selling feet pictures so, I just thought I’d give it a go.” OnlyFans allows users to create a photo feed like Instagram but also has the function for creators to take private requests. “At first I was very nervous and I only posted underwear pictures because that’s what I was comfortable with,” Gracey said. “But after a while, I started posting nude pictures. I’ve hard to learn about the industry for myself. “I’ve had to work out what content people want to see and what I’m comfortable with.” She added: “It was daunting at first – but now I’ve got one of the most popular pages.” Sharing intimate images has given Gracey more confidence in herself. I’m much more confident now,” she said.

“But that’s the good thing about OnlyFans – there's no size or age limits. “Some of the women I network with are 50 or 60 years old – earning just as much, if not more than me. “Everyone likes something different – some men like petite, some like curvy, some just like feet – everyone has their own thing. “No matter what your size or age, you can be proud of your body and happy with yourself.” Gracey offers everything from explicit pictures, videos, video calls, messaging and custom content. “Sometimes, people will ask for custom stuff that’s just for them,” she said. “We recently bought a Mustang and one of my subscribers loves Mustang cars so he's always asking me to take pictures of me in the car. “Fans can privately message me and video call me too. It’s a good way for them to see that it's really me behind the pictures and to get to know me.”

Gracey has amassed 140,000 subscribers and as she is being followed by so many people she’s faced both good and bad online comments. “Some people don’t like what I do, and I respect that,” she said. “But I think if you don’t like something, then you should leave that person alone. “Some people, and it’s a lot of men, have said horrible things online. “Some people have even subscribed to my page, and paid to do so, just to tell me they don’t like what I’m doing.” But the good has outweighed the bad, with Gracey insisting joining OnlyFans has improved her health – thanks to now being able to afford private healthcare – wealth, and lifestyle. “Living in Spain means we have the sun 90 per cent of the time – which is the opposite to the UK,” she said. “So, every weekend, we can do family activities. Not so much at the moment, but when lockdown lifts, we’ll be able to.” Now, she’s hoping to invest in the Spanish property market. “In three years, I want to have a good portfolio of properties – either that we buy, do up and sell on or that we buy and rent as holiday homes,” she said. “Hopefully, we’ll earn enough so when I’m 35 I can retire on that income – that's the end goal.” Gracey said she has no regrets about starting her OnlyFans page and believes in some ways it was “meant to be”. “It sounds a little strange, but since my mum passed away five years ago, I truly believe she’s been guiding me and keeping me going,” she said. “I really believe that, because everything has fallen into place. “When I was younger, we’d go on holiday in Spain, I would always say, ‘I’d love to live here’. “Or, I’d say, ‘I’d love to own properties and rent them out’, and my mum would always say, ‘Go for it’. “And now it’s actually happened, and I’m just grateful for it every day.”
