A woman has quit journalism after saying the “rat race isn’t for me” – to become a full-time stripper earning £114,000 a year. Leanne Carr, 33, from Sheffield, quit her job as a magazine journalist in London where she was writing for popular publications Woman & Home, Now Magazine, Good to Know, Women’s Health, Noctis, and Retail Week. Known as ‘Leanne London’, she spends her days posing in her underwear, making TikToks, and chatting to a variety of customers on a webcam, YorkshireLive reported. The online star has been working for herself and other brands through ad content for over two and a half years and says she hasn’t looked back.
Leanne Carr has quit her job as a journalist to earn money on OnlyFans.
Leanne said: “After deciding the rat race wasn’t for me, I took the plunge to incorporate my performance skills and writing skills to go into content creation, blogging and live streaming.” Her content includes access to her website MissLeanneLondon.com, and OnlyFans page where she charges £5 a month for subscribers to get access to her “exclusive” pictures and videos. With over 1,900 subscribers, Leanne says she takes in at least £144,000 a year for monthly subscriptions alone.

The secret to her success is that she has “lots of experience in domination and fetish” and makes men online “worship” her. Her OnlyFans page reads: “Is your wife boring you? Does your girlfriend nag you all the time? I’ll be sure to keep you satisfied. It’s like having your very own naughty online girlfriend, at your fingertips 24/7. I won’t tell if you don’t.” To maximize earnings, OnlyFans users can earn more money through private messages and webcam chats, where she charges between £1 and £4 per minute.
Leanne also makes TikToks after deciding the ‘rat race’ wasn’t for her.
She said: “It’s similar to live streaming on TikTok, but fans will pay to chat in a private room – a little bit like a virtual date. Nothing is off limits, so you can explore all your deepest, darkest fantasies with me, show me how naughty you like to be, or just have a chat about the weather. Whatever tickles your fancy.” With her own TikTok page that has 23,900 followers, raking in over 74,200 likes on her videos, she can earn more money from live streams. She said: “Building a TikTok following actually takes a lot of time and effort – posting up to five times a day. It’s taken about a year to get where I’m at now – 163,000 on TikTok.” Online ‘fans’ can also “treat” her by putting money towards her Amazon Wishlist, where she selects products she wishes to own. However, Leanne still continues her love of writing through her blog where she writes about sex, love, relationships, lifestyle, and fashion. For her birthday this April, she is using her popular platform for a charitable cause this month. She will be shaving her head for the Mind and Stroke Association which is “very close to her heart”. She said: “Yes, you read that right – for my birthday in April, I’m shaving my head to raise funds for Mind and Stroke Association. “I will also be donating my hair to Little Princess Trust – a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer, and other illnesses. “Hopefully I’ll be able to make a difference even if it’s just a little bit. Please give generously and thank you in advance for your support.” To support Leanne’s fundraiser click here.
